Beauty Haul - Feb

So I kinda, maybe tripped up, fell into boots and found myself at the till making a few cheeky purchases. I didn't really need anything but it is impossible to peruse the goodies perched on the shelves of Boots and come out empty handed. I swear my purchases were just screaming out and begging to come home with me, it would have been rude to ignore them.... right?

I have been totally sucked in by the Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce range. Various products from the line have been popping up all over blog posts and YouTube videos lately and I hold a couple of lovely YouTubers responsible for this purchase, especially the texturising spray, Fleur De Force and Amelia Liana I'm looking at you ladies! I watched their Top Drugstore Dupes video (you can find it here if by some craziness you haven't seen it already) and within that they had the hyped up Oribe Dry Texturising Spray. My eyes water at the sight of the £18 price tag for the 75ml travel size, but the dupe Fleur and Amelia had for this was Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray, with Amelia even saying she preferred the dupe! Fleur also rated the CW Salon At Home range and I always check for her reviews before buying a product as she hasn't let me down yet, cheers Fleur! So whilst in Boots I hunted this down only to find the range was on offer at 2 for £8, it was only right to take advantage of this offer so I also picked up the Body Booster Mousse. This was a fab offer as the texturising spray is priced at £6.99 and the mousse is £5.99, saving myself just short of £5 I think this is a great deal and I'm looking forward to injecting some Volume & Bounce into my hair.

Oh my how pleased was I to see this on the shelves, I was looking for Philosophy's Sweet Fluffy Cupcake when I went to the sale after Christmas but I was too slow and missed out ** note to self next year Boots sales is top priority**. This smells divine and Sweet Fluffy Cupcake absolutely hits the nail on the head when it comes to describing this scent. I love the icy blue colour and I think that Philosophy packaging looks fab. Not only does this fill my bathroom with a sweet sugary scent it also looks fab perched on the edge of my bath tub. To sweeten the deal some of the Philosophy range was reduced and I thought this was a bargain at £7, the final cherry on the top (excuse the pun) was when I got to the till it was £3.50!!!! Don't ya just love it when that happens.

I was looking to repurchase my L'Oreal Micellar water as I'm getting to the end of the one I have, but then I came across Garnier's offering in the Micellar circle. A one stop cleanser to remove make up, cleanse and soothe for face, eyes and lips, also the lid looks better and seems like I wont waste as much product as I do with the L'Oreal one (it always goes everywhere). At £4.99 for 400ml this will not only last longer than the 200ml L'Oreal one but it works out to be slightly cheaper too.

Then I discovered that Boots stock Sleek, when did this happen? Maybe I have been stuck in the dark ages but I was super happy so see the stand in all its glory in my favourite beauty store. To add to my delight it was fully stocked with the Face Form palette. I have been after this for a while but when ever I've been to Superdrug they never had my shade, so there was no way I was going home with out this when I saw they had plenty of the shade Fair in stock. I did display excellent self control though as that is the only Sleek product I picked up.... until next time!

Well what a delightful little spree that was. I am so happy with all of my purchases and in total excitement when I got home I decided to treat myself to a nice bath, yes of course I used my brand spanking new Sweet Fluffy Cupcake shower gel and oh my it was heavenly!

  1. I didn't realise the Garnier micellar water was a bigger bottle, I was under the impression the L'Oreal was a cheaper version but this one actually works out better value for money! Amazing! Thanks for pointing this out!
I'm tempted to try the texturising spray too.

    1. I didn't realise either until I was in the shop and compared the 2! I'm yet to use it tho as I'm using up my Loreal one first but I hope it's just as good because both packaging and price are better! X
