It's Candle Season.... Yey!

I'm a little unorthodox when it comes to candles as I like to burn them all year round, but burning candles in autumn is acceptable in any body's book!

Autumn is my favourite season for many reasons, one of those reasons is the cosyness (made up but necessary word, oops) of the season.

Aside from snuggling up on the sofa with a warm drink and knitted throw the most important ingredient for creating a warm cosy atmosphere is of course candles, there is nothing like the warm glow of a flame burning through a gorgeous scented candle to make you forget about the miserable, grey and cold weather outside.

Now when it comes to choosing a candle there are a range of shapes, colours, sizes, scents and brands to suit everyone's budget and taste. I tend to go for larger candles, tea-lights are not really my thing, I love the dancing flames on a multi wick candle and the scent I choose depends on the time of year. I have recently purchase my first candle from The White Company, oh my, why did this not happen sooner in my life?? the scent I chose is called Cassis, the website describes the scent as  "a sophisticated scent that combines notes of fruity ripe blackberries and blackcurrants with a relaxing woody base of cedar, clove and patchouli." .

In my opinion the only way to describe this candle is simply divine, and the glass design filled with white wax makes this a classy timeless piece that looks great in my livingroom. The candle burns evenly so there will be little if any waste by the time it gets to the bottom and what's more the gorgeous scent fills the whole house, I definitely need to explore the rest of the candles that The White Company has to offer although I fear I may become a little obsessed with them.
