NOTW

Ok so I've just discovered the blogger mobile app and I thought what better way to try it out than with a quick Nail Of The Week post, here goes ....

This week I have added a new colour to my Barry M Gelly collection, I absolutely adore the colour! As we are cruising through autum and heading towards winter I decided it was time to add deeper darker winterey colours to my collection..... Welcome Plum! What a wonderfully deep purple colour this is, in some lights it looks almost black and in others you can realy see the purple tone of this polish! I love this color I think it is perfect for autumn/winter and isn't a boring colour. When first applied the finish is very glossy without top coat, but a day of doing everyday tasks around the house and I found the shine had gone so I then applied an Essie top coat. As for the longevity of this nail varnish it has to be said it doesn't live up to Essie's standard and corners did start to chip after about day 3.... But hey Barry M's price tag is much more purse friendly than Essie, I guess in this case it's true you get what you pay for!

What brands/colours are you loving for autumn/winter this year, let me know in the comments below :)

  1. I love colors like this for Fall/Winter! One of my favorites is Lincoln Park After Dark by OPI. I actually just did a post on my favorite polishes for fall :)

  2. I love this colour. Gelly rocks! I love the passion fruit one but its more of a summer colour. I went to Topshop today and bought some nail polish for the first time in a dark purple shade. x
