Mini Haul

Recently I have picked up a few new beauty bits so I though I would share my purchases with you and maybe you would like to share you opinions on the products I bought and maybe even recommend new products for me to try.

Real Techniques Core Collection

Real Techniques Blush Brush

So first up was a purchase I have been wanting to make for quiet sometime and I was rather excited when I finally got my hands on the Real Techniques Core Collection. I already own a few Real Technique brushes and I absolutely love them, I have the Limited Edition Duo Fibre collection and the Stippling brush. I was so happy to add the Core Collection to my stash of brushes, this set contains a detailer brush, a pointed foundation brush, a contour brush and a buffing brush. The buffing brush is the only one I have used at the moment, I like to use it to buff my bronzer into my skin and this brush performs amazingly well for that exact purpose. Its a nice dense brush so I don't end up with product all over the brush and that makes it easier to apply to the skin and the soft bristles feel lovely when applying the bronzer. The result is a nice natural glow and no harsh lines with minimal effort. I'm not sure yet if I will find a use for the pointed foundation brush as I like to use the Stippling brush to apply my base but maybe it will have a hidden talent that will be discovered along the way.

When I bought the Core collection Boots had a buy one get one half price offer on the Real Techniques brushes and well it would have been rude not to take advantage of that. This lead to me picking up the Real Techniques Blush Brush, this is another brush that I have read lots of good things about and I wasn't disappointed,  in all honestly I think Real Techniques is yet to disappoint me! This brush is perfect for applying blush and makes it easy to build the product up so you can get the desired effect for the look you are going for, there's nothing worse than a blush blunder when you have created the perfect base!

Now  recently I have been getting more into lip products, lip sticks, glosses and balms etc and this is something that is relatively new to me as I would wear these products before but I would normally gravitate towards nude colours. This year I seem to have got a little bit brave and instead of just admiring the brighter colours from afar they have started sneaking their way into my basket and ending up in my make up collection... you can see where this is going cant you....

Whilst perusing the array of lipsticks on the Revlon counter there were a few that caught my eye but after swatching several shades on the back of my hand I finally settled on two colours. They are both from Revlons Moisture Renew range and the first colour I picked up is a lovely creamy pink colour called Oxford ST. Fuchsia and the second is a coral colour that appears to have a slight shimmery finish and this one is called Soft Coral. I'm looking forward to trying these out, Have you tried the Moisture Renew range? what are your thoughts?

No 600, Soft Coral

Cherry Me

And finally I caved in and bought the much raved about Maybeline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. I use lip balms on a daily basis and this one is so convenient for those times that you don't want to apply the product with your fingers and also it has a slight hint of colour. Not to mention the divine cherry scent which is very sweet and sherbety. Cherry is my favourite flavour so this is a major selling point for me. I also like the fun and funky packaging, all of the different flavours are packed in a brightly coloured plastic tube with contrasting coloured writing on the clear lid.

Well that's it for my mini haul. If you have any lipstick recommendations either colours or brands please let me know in the comments below or maybe you have tried the above products, again let me know if you rate them or slate them I'd love to hear your views.
