October Favourites

Woah, stop the bus! where did October go? This year is flying by at a rapid rate, its already favourites time so here you have my most loved beauty products from October.
October Favourites
The most important part of any make up look is the base and more recently I've been trying new products to try and combat the shine and make my make up last longer so when my foundation ran out I decided it was time to try something new I picked up Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation in the shade 200 Soft Beige. On the back of the bottle it states to be sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours, that was me sold and at the till making my purchase. although I don't need my foundation to last that long I liked the idea of it getting me through my working day without sliding off my face and that is exactly what this product delivered. It has fab coverage which can be built up depending on the occasion/look you are going for and gives a nice natural finish. I have been applying my foundation after using Garnier 5sec Perfect Blur primer, this is lovely to apply it really seems to smooth out my skin and makes it feel super soft and silky. Using this combination of primer and foundation really works for me, my skin doesn't get shiny and my foundation is still in place by the time I'm clocking off and heading home..... Result.

When the weather drops a few degrees, the air is crisp and I start reaching for my scarves I like to add a bit of warmth to my cheeks and to do exactly that I have been using Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in the shade 79 Flash Plum. This pinky/plumy colour breathes life into my cheeks and its subtle gold sheen gives a lovely warm glow to the apples of my cheeks. I have been using my Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply the blush as it picks up a small amount of product and allows you to build the colour intensity gradually

To finish of my make up look I've been applying Autumn/Winter to my lips in the form of Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade 107 from the Kate Moss range. This fab berry colour is perfect for seeing you through Autumn and Winter, it looks great on any skin colour and although it is a matt finish it doesn't dry my lips out. Just make sure you ex-foliate your lips before you begin applying the lipstick and I have found that blotting between layers helps increase the staying power of this amazing lipstick.

Of course I couldn't do my favourites without including Essie, this time in the shade adorably named After School Boy Blazer. I have a lot of love for Essie in general but I also love colours that are so dark they are nearly black but in certain lights and a closer look you catch the true colour which in this case is a deep navy blue. I feel this is going to be making many appearances this season.

So that's it for this months favourites guys, a lot of make up products this time round.Let me know how you adapt your make up for the different seasons and what products are your Autumn/Winter staples? I look forward to hearing from you :)
